Failure to produce proof of service could result in Mazda denying warranty coverage. All symtoms consistent with everyone else. I believe this to be fraudulent. I did let a few of my services go out to 12 months but still less than 10,000kms. I do not feel Mazda was honest.
I am a bit mechanical I think this is a really well engineered car. I have been doing my own maintenance on the car. There is no way on gods green earth that I will ever buy another mazda or ford since ford owns mazda. How can we the consumers file a class action suit against Mazda Corp? You never know when you are going to need to provide proof of service. My airbag was replaced due to the recall and my car has never been the same.
Ov course im paying for all of this. I was getting ready to trade it for a new 6 model but, after this customer service I will never own another and u am going to spead the word as much as possible. Turns out, the thermostat was bad. After explaining the symptoms I was told the following. Anyways, it died for good this week, yep , you need a new engine!!! Mazda should pay for this part, not me. Like the look of the newer models as well, but wife is reluctant to get another! I had a little voice in my head telling me I should take a peek at Consumer Reports before I bought this piece of crap for my daughter to drive while she is in college.
Come to find out the previous owners had it replaced in march 2013 right before I bought it and never informed me. Then just recently, I had a gas smell in the cabin, took it to the dealer and they could not find anything. Constant oil changes, replaced timing chain, turbo just went out! Next came the timing belt followed by the turbocharger several months later. We just picked up the car and now need to figure out what to do next! And all of this while trying to recover after being out of work for a year. You must provide a day time phone number when you are checking out. I want a replacement, compensation for 4 weeks of inconvience and I just got on disability and the stress is making several of my des eases flare up more frequently. I then chose to replace it recently with the higher performance K04-882 turbo from a Gen2 Speed 3.
How do they have so many loop holes and we are all screwed?! I've looked under the hood I changed my own spark plugs. I was in love with a used but as good as new 2008 cx7. Assisting the smooth transfer of power is a six-speed Sport automatic transmission featuring a manual shift mode for a more spirited driving experience. I am on my 2nd air conditioning compressor, and Mazda will not honor the letter they sent me in 2010 for replacement. After this the failure rate is likely to increase. Yup… Negligence on my end. Turbocharger just went out at 81,000+ miles.
Like 4 of the 5 or 6 bolts that hold the skid plate on. I am now told I need a new engine that it is too far gone to try to fix with a vent kit. I had intake manifold and oil cooler done as well. Last year, I had the front differential rebuilt after the housing cracked. Biggest knock against the car for me is the transmission's sixth gear. Coming back from the hospital this week, her turbo went out.
They replace the battery this time. I may not be able to join this class action but I trust this works for you guys! And besides, legally, Carmax finance owned the car. Which I have done on a regular basis for 6 years. So, now march 2015, turbo blows again! Asked them to check everything that the warranty covered. I actually shifted into manual mode because the down shifts were completely unrequired on the road I was driving.
If anyone has any advice id appreciate it. These have the improved seals. I wrote many letters to Mazda with no resolution. I took it to Mazda today only to be told that the turbo needs to be replaced! Well mazda covered it since there was a parts warranty on the turbo and it blew at exactly 1 year from the first time. The sad part is that no class law suit…. At the time of purchase the dealership at the vehicle listed at 80800 or so miles.
That is a low bid for the car under any circumstances. Took my car to dealership when check engine light came on. I was told that I needed timing belt adjustments and a new turbo. Mazda has to do something about this this is unexceptable. Anyway, I have their paperwork showing everything was fine.
